What Is DiamondGlow?

DiamondGlow resurfacing device
DiamondGlow is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that does three things at once. It exfoliates the outer layer of skin, clears away buildup and debris from your pores, and delivers nourishing serums to the skin's surface. The result is a smoother surface, a clearer complexion, and a healthy glow, all without needles or surgery.

How Does the Treatment Work?

DiamondGlow diamond-tip wand
Your provider guides a wand with a specialized diamond tip across the skin. That single tool gently buffs away dead surface cells, draws out congestion, and, at the same time, infuses a targeted serum chosen for your skin's needs. Because the diamond tips come in different strengths, your treatment can be tailored to your skin type and comfort level. Most sessions are quick, relaxing, and finished in about the length of a lunch break.

What DiamondGlow Can Help With

DiamondGlow is a versatile treatment that we can customize to a range of concerns, including:

  • Dull, tired-looking skin that has lost its glow
  • Rough or uneven texture
  • Dryness and a lack of hydration
  • Uneven tone, dark spots, and sun damage
  • Clogged pores and occasional blemishes
  • Early fine lines and the look of aging skin

It is designed for many skin types, and it can be used on the face as well as other areas of the body.

Benefits of DiamondGlow at Derick Dermatology

The biggest draw of DiamondGlow is that it refreshes your skin with little to no downtime. You get the deep cleaning and renewal of a professional treatment along with the hydration of nourishing serums, in one comfortable visit. Many patients see a brighter, smoother complexion right away, and those results continue to improve with a regular series. Just as important, every DiamondGlow treatment at Derick Dermatology is performed by a trained member of our cosmetic team, so your skin is in experienced, knowledgeable hands.

Is DiamondGlow Right for You?

DiamondGlow is well tolerated by most patients. You may notice mild redness, a little tightness, or slight swelling for a short time afterward, and these effects are temporary. It is not recommended when the skin in the treatment area is compromised, such as sunburned, chapped, irritated, or broken skin, open wounds, active or weeping acne, or cold sores. If you are pregnant or nursing, or you have any medical conditions or allergies, please let your provider know first. The best way to know if DiamondGlow is a good fit is a quick consultation, where we can look at your skin and build a plan around your goals.

Because your skin is freshly refreshed, we will ask you to protect it with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher).
A: That depends on your skin and what else you have in mind. Because DiamondGlow cleans and preps the skin, it can be a thoughtful first step in a larger plan of care. Your Derick Dermatology provider will review your history and let you know whether, and how, to pair it with your other treatments.
