Preparing for the Big Day

Women often come in looking for help to feel their very best for their upcoming wedding. You want to better your complexion, work on wrinkles, brown spots, acne, and even unwanted body fat. A few of our very own have started their regimens to prepare for the big day. Chitra, Angela, and Della have their wedding dates coming up throughout the next few months.

Chitra’s wedding is May 4, 2013. She only has a few weeks to finish preparing for one of the most important days of her life, especially in Indian culture. Chitra’s stomach will be showing in her traditional wedding sari, so she can forget about Spanx! Besides the usual routine of working out and eating healthy, Chitra has taken the next step by having Zeltiq Coolsculpting done on her midsection in February. This fat-freezing procedure actually destroys the fat cells to help get rid of certain problem areas. It takes about 2 months to see the majority (about 75%) of the fat reduction from Zeltiq, so Chitra has the perfect amount of time before her wedding day to see maximum results.

Along with her Zeltiq procedure, Chitra has also been making sure to take extra good care of her skin with a few products. This includes washing her face every night, using Lumiere Riche as her under eye cream, Vivite Exfoliating wash, and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. She is using Latisse for her eyelashes (an amazing way to achieve the look of false lashes without them!), along with getting trials done for hair, nails, makeup, and henna. It’s important to try and control breakouts with acne topical medications beforehand. She will also get Botox done a couple of weeks before the wedding to look like her youngest and best self on the wedding day!

Della, who is a part of our administrative staff, is getting married August 10, 2013. She has a few months until the big day, but there are preparations she must make for her skin even months in advance. Della uses Lumiere Riche under her eyes and Journee Day Cream on her face for added SPF protection. She plans on getting Zeltiq done to her midsection, as well, in addition to extra workouts. Because of extra stress during the final pre-wedding countdown, acne flares are extremely common! Della has always managed her acne with amoxicillin when necessary. She has also started using Latisse to prepare.

Angela’s wedding is September 14, 2013. As a medical assistant she knows what procedures are going to be helpful pre-wedding and how long the potential recovery time will be. She has consistently gotten laser hair removal and plans on doing that before the big day. That way she won’t have to worry about any stubble on her wedding, but more importantly on the honeymoon! Angela also will freshen up with her biannual Botox appointment before her wedding day.
Many brides come into our office before their wedding day to address skin concerns or discuss new skincare routines. It’s such a great way to plan ahead and manage skin issues before they even occur, especially on the most important day of your life!
