Most dermatologic surgery includes minimally invasive procedures (such as mole removals) to improve the health and appearance of a patient’s skin. When a patient has a more serious problem such as skin cancer, Derick Dermatology involves in-house specialists called Mohs surgeons. Mohs surgeons diagnose and treat a patient with regular excisions or with micrographic surgery—a surgical procedure designed to resolve a patient’s skin problem with a minimal removal of skin tissue. Derick Dermatology’s Mohs surgeons are fellowship-trained and have much hands-on experience. Because Derick Dermatology offers complete surgical procedures–from minimally invasive to Mohs–our patients benefit from customized, convenient, and continuing surgical care. Patient interactions and treatment photos are kept in a state-of-the-art, secured electronic medical records system for maximum efficiency, ease of retrieval, and minimization of error.
