Our board-certified dermatologist can perform most surgeries in our office, and you can return to your home for recovery the same day.

Most dermatological surgeries are minimally invasive procedures. An example is the removal of a mole. These procedures are completed in our office on an outpatient basis. They typically require minimal recovery time. The goal is to improve the health and appearance of the patient’s skin with the least invasive procedure available.

More serious dermatological surgeries like skin cancer treatments are conducted by in-house specialists known as Mohs surgeons. These surgical treatments are still performed as outpatient surgeries. They’re more likely to require ongoing care to ensure serious skin conditions don’t return or are properly controlled over time.

Working with Mohs Surgeons – What to Expect

We’re proud to offer Mohs surgeries right from our office. Our Mohs surgeons are trained to diagnose and treat patients with micrographic surgery or standard excisions. Micrographic surgery is designed to resolve a patient’s skin issues while removing the least amount of skin tissue possible. While this advanced form of surgery is preferred by most patients, some procedures do require traditional excisions.
